Cyprus is a beautiful island located in the eastern Mediterranean lying at thehub of three continents. The total area of Cyprus is a little less than 10.000 sq kms and compares in size with Lebanonin the Middle East and Connecticutin the USA. The population of about 700.000 inhabitants with Greek Cypriots being the largest at about 87% and the Turkish Cypriots the 13%. In the South, Greek is the spoken language but English is also widely spoken and understood.

Paphos is a very popular coastal holiday resort. The harbour with its ancient castle and many ancient antiquities, churches and monasteries have prompted UNESCO to include Paphos in its "World Heritage List" . Paphos is a town divided into two main areas, Kato Paphos and Paphos. Both areas thrive all years round combining a pleasant mix of old and new.
Kato Paphos is the lower part alongside the sea and ancient harbour and is home to many of the tourist attractions including bars, taverns and night spots and of course , the shops. Paphos is the more commercial side of town with shops & offices etc.
The distance to Paphos airport is 20 km - a 15 minutes drive while Larnaca airport is 150 km away, 90 minutes drive.
